Why Coaching?

Here at Cardiff Golf Club we’re passionate about helping you play better golf.

We are extremely proud of our coaching system for our junior golfers at Cardiff Golf Club, who receive regular lessons from our pro staff sponsored by the Club itself. We are not aware of many other clubs that structure junior coaching in this way.

Every golfer enjoys the game more when they’re hitting good shots and playing well. This is our mission for you.

Think back to your last few rounds and try to pinpoint an area that cost you shots…

Maybe, you had too many three-putts as a result of poor distance control? Or did you miss too many fairways to the right meaning you had to chip out sideways? It could be that you play well in practice rounds with your friends but struggle to replicate that in competitions?

Through our experiences in the game and our PGA education, we appreciate that every golfer is different. That’s why we offer a range of lessons and packages to suit everyone.

Lessons will cover:

  • Golf Fundamentals
  • Swing Basics
  • Short Game
  • Long Game
  • Course Management

Kevin Davies - PGA Professional

Kevin has been a PGA Professional for over 25 years. He grew up playing golf at Mountain Ash Golf Club, where he is still a proud member. During his time as a professional, Kevin served on the PGA West region committee for six years while he was the captain of the PGA in South Wales, a position he was very proud of and honoured to have held. Having played golf for over 40 years and seen many changes in the equipment, Kevin still enjoys playing the game socially, competes regularly on the PGA West Region circuit, and has a handful of victories to his name! Caerphilly Golf Club and Aberdare Golf Club hold special memories for Kevin as he held the position of Head PGA Professional at both clubs before moving on to Cardiff Golf Club. All aspects of the golf business still interest him, and he gets as much satisfaction from regripping a club or fixing a broken shaft as he does in fixing someone’s slice.
